Theme:
Bike Bash, Football Frenzy, March Madness or whatever your sporting event.

Images and inspiration:
Parking lot, recreational vehicles, games, cheering, sporting event equipment,
uniforms and memorabilia.

Date and time:
Date of your sporting event, one to three hours before event begins.
|
Budget:
Not including ticket price, fifty to two hundred dollars for medium size group.

Location:
The parking lot of your sporting event. Arrive early and give guests explicit instructions as to where you will be.

Layout:
Park vehicles with tailgate out, leave several spaces if you can, for tables, grill and chairs. Don't forget the
radio for music and pre-event coverage.

Record event:
Action photos of your event and the sporting event.
|
Transportation:
Recreational vehicle, van, or large vehicle for tables, chairs and cooking grill.
|
Costumes:
Sports, mascot and cheerleader outfits.
|
Invitations:
Make pennant invitations out of felt, write tailgate information on them. Send in
mail tubes.
|
Decorate:
If you wish to go fancy, bring linens, silverware and candelabras. For a simpler party, bring folding table, and lawn chairs, plastic tablecloth and paper napkins ... Either way decorate table and vehicle with team memorabilia.

Food:
Fancy foods can include; prime rib, baked potato, a vegetable tray and
champagne. A more simple affair could include; burgers, potato salad and soda.
Even better, a pre cooked meal could include; fried chicken, soft pretzels, chips and soda.

Activities:
People watching is always a fun activity.
You should at least toss a ball around the parking lot, but you could take it a bit farther and have some contests.
Trivia questions about the game and the stadium.
Guess the outcome of the event.

Sports stuff: balls, bats, gloves, whether real or play.

Team memorabilia, sports stuff, trophies ...
